Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 28, 2026
1. Information We Collect
We collect account details (such as email), service usage data, billing and subscription information, and content you submit to operate IdeaSpark features. This can include notes, sources, chats, prompts, uploaded text, outputs, support messages, IP address, browser or device details, and technical metadata associated with your use of the service.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide the service, authenticate accounts, process AI requests, maintain security, investigate abuse or misuse, support billing and Spark accounting, troubleshoot issues, improve product performance, generate aggregated or de-identified analytics, and communicate important account or service updates.
3. AI Processing
When you use AI features, relevant notes, chats, prompts, source materials, and other request content may be shared with third-party AI providers so they can process your request and return outputs. If you include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in notes or chats, that information may also be processed as part of the AI workflow. We use AI providers and related infrastructure to support core product functionality, subject to our agreements with those providers and their applicable policies.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers and subprocessors, such as hosting providers, analytics tools, authentication vendors, billing processors, support tools, and AI infrastructure providers, solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the platform, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account history, support Spark and billing records, investigate abuse, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, legal requirements, operational needs, and whether the data is included in backups or third-party provider logs. Deletion requests may not immediately remove information from backups, security archives, or provider systems that retain logs for a limited period.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your Choices
You can review and update certain account information within the app. You may also request account-related privacy support, including questions about access or deletion, by contacting us. Depending on the request, we may need to retain some information for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons. If you do not want personal, confidential, or sensitive information processed through AI workflows, do not include it in notes, chats, prompts, or source materials submitted to those features.
8. International Processing
Your information may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own by us or our service providers. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where we or our providers operate, subject to applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
IdeaSpark is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Policy Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date indicates the current version.
